Avio MK-II Pelican

Avio MK-II Pelican

Established in 1911, the Schneider Cup was initially created for an aircraft competition to encourage technological progress within the scope of civil aviation engineering, later becoming a race based on pure speed over 350km long triangular circuit.
The aircrafts used in this competition were in the hydroplane category and were designed to reach very high speeds but required a considerable amount of preparation to be driven.

The back case
The back case of the Avio MK-II and the MK-II Pelican bears an engraving of the famous MC72 seaplane, the aircraft with which Marshal Francesco Agello set its world speed record aboard a seaplane. The Avio MK-II Pelican is available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, with the serial number printed on the back case.
